When you are blocked by the server for downloading from torrent(usually the COEP data center does it) or while using tools for networking use this trick to bring the internet back. Actually its not a trick just many of us don't know how to bring the net back and have to wait for 2 days so that server would unblock us.
Remember close all torrents running in background or it will again be blocked. Using this trick doesn't mean it would make your torrents work
- Go to Command Prompt
- Press Start and type run.
- Press Enter. Type cmd. Press Enter
- Get your MAC address
- type ipconfig \all . A long list of details of information comes.
- Most of it is of no use to you. Just check for the name on left hand side Physical Address . It is usually like 00-24-E6-1D-54-04. Note it down in Notepad.
- Clone your MAC address
- Go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings.
- You will see here a lot of internet connections which you have used or just installed. By default there is only one Local Area Connection and if you have a WIFI then the other one too Wireless Network Connection.
- So now Right click on Local Area Network , then click on Properties.
- A new window will be opened - Local Area Network Properties. Click on Configure .
- Initially you will see the General tab as shown.
- Now go to Advanced tab beside General tab.
- Select Network Address. Initially it will show Not Present. Now click on the small bubble below Value.
- You need to insert the address here. The address to be inserted there is same which you get in second step (00-24-E6-1D-54-04). Insert the address without hypen (-). Now just change two or three numbers in the address (e,g, make 54 to 64).Don't add 'F' in the changed address. Then click on ok at the bottom.
Done with cloning. Unplug the LAN wire and again insert it. Now wait for approximately 1 - 2 min, to let the LAN configure the setting. And you are online....... :) ...
